Association “Ukrainian Nuclear Insurance Pool” (UNIP) - was established in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 953 dated June 23, 2003 to fulfill international obligations of the State of Ukraine under the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage (1963), the requirements of the Laws of Ukraine “On the Use of Nuclear Energy and Radiation Safety”, “On Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage and Its Financial Security” and “On Insurance”. The Resolution also approved the Regulation on the Pool, the Insurance and Reinsurance Rules, according to which the UNIP operates.
The UNIP is a member of Association “Ukrainian Nuclear Forum”.
